Well, we don't actually know about those things but what we do know is that Bibi is full of shit regarding the Grand Mufti and it's utterly disgusting of him to try to shift the blame for the Shoah from the Nazis to the Palestinians. It's utterly depraved.

Worse, I realize that he's trying to imply that Netanyahu's version of history is one subscribed to by all Israelis or even, since Bibi claims to speak for them, all Jews. I don't care if my PM would sell his mother to the Bedouins for a half-dozen votes. I'm an Israeli Jew, I'm not voting for anybody who wants to make a deal with Hamas...or Fatah.

When the Six-Day War ended, the government made a promise to the people of Israel that no government would ever again have the opportunity to launch a ground attack on Israel from the West Bank. If I'm an Israeli Jew...I want that promise kept.

I will say that perhaps if Hussein had not been an idiot and let the rest of the Arab world leverage him into participating in 1968, none of this would be happening.

The fact remains that the Israeli electorate has become and continues to become increasingly conservative on these issues. I don't blame them one bit.

How you extrapolate to "all Israeli" is beyond me.
