It's pretty fucked up that a "news network" will agree to conditions for their coverage of a specific person. I guess it goes to show what we knew already, that Fox News ain't a news network.

Donald Trump is boycotting Fox News Channel, but the two sides may be moving toward a truce.

A Fox News Channel spokesperson said Thursday that Fox News Chairman and Chief Executive Roger Ailes would soon meet with the candidate to discuss his issues with the channel's coverage of his campaign.

"[Ailes and Trump] spoke this morning and plan to have a meeting next week to discuss their differences of opinion regarding Fox's coverage of Mr. Trump's presidential campaign," a spokesperson said in a statement. "Ailes will be joined by senior Fox editorial executives. Mr. Trump believes he has been treated unfairly in certain instances. Fox News has held every candidate in this race to the highest journalistic standards throughout our coverage. We believe a candid meeting about our differences is required and that any misunderstandings can be handled without compromising those standards."........

Was there ever any doubt, both in terms of Fox News and The Donald himself?

Never in my mind but some here seemed to take it seriously.

Though I can't take either Fox News or Trump seriously, the GOP establishment sure seems to. It's certainly fun to watch.

I love this bit of Fox Noise: "...Fox News has held every candidate in this race to the highest journalistic standards."

Likewise, they hold their reporters to the highest political standards.

Fox News: where "journalistic standards" is a buzzword.

Fox has no choice but to make up. The Republican base wants to hear loud mouth Donald.

BTW Donald has utility...he is the only candidate who can promote what the Fox/Repubs view as economic heresies and survive push back from the ideoloques.
