You don't have to be the Secretary of State to have a Top Secret clearance. You only need to be able to pass the background and history checks. I had a security clearance. It was only a "Confidential", I did nothing to get it and didn't think I really needed it for anything......but they gave it to me anyways. I was only told to keep my mouth shut once. But that was in regards to some fraud I reported. You see; The military brass doesn't like fraud to actually get reported, they just tell you to report fraud for appearances.

They do tend to be right wingers. So, of course they would never dream of doing anything dirty, even when they do. It wouldn't be moral.

For the record, I was in the US Army Honor Guard in Washington. We all had to have top secret clearance since we often conducted ceremonies where the President and/or foreign heads of state were present.

Later I was a chauffeur at the Pentagon. Again, the job placed me in close proximity to big wigs and, in addition, I often had to handle classified papers and transport them from one location to another.

After the service I was involved in some.... um.... highly specialized training regarding terrorist countermeasures and dealt directly with some pretty important people as students. It was while doing this training that I had the most intense exposure to classified information, US and foreign dignitaries and heads of state.

DJ, that's the truth and, because of its nature, essentially unverifiable. I couldn't care less if you believe it.

Prove it or go away. You can verify anything.

What's funny is I was off for a few weeks recently (& raising hell in this place) because of a legal matter affecting my clearance.
Again, I call B.S.
Do tell? The Minuteman Militia don't recognize your California birth certificate in Arizona?

Nope. I was at the scene of a crime & the incident report came up as if I was involved. This went back to 09. The criminal justice system is a mess.
