Seems like she has a residual effect.

It probably all dates back to when Honda just made motorcycles, and we acquiesced to policies to encourage Japanese industrial growth. Cold war, you know, and they were on our side.

The stuff I know about is required 'safety inspections' for *each* imported vehicle, the cost of which about doubles the price of the vehicle. But it's not a tariff....

From Arianna Packard, granddaughter of co-founder David Packard:
Quote:
“I know a little bit about Carly Fiorina, having watched her almost destroy the company my grandfather founded. So, allow me to disillusion you of a few of your stated reasons for supporting her,” Packard wrote.

“Most business commentators consider Fiorina's tenure at HP to be a disaster,” Packard continued. “The stock price dropped by 50% only to rally 10% on the announcement of her firing. She fired 28,000 people before she herself was fired, departing with the 21 million dollar golden parachute that is financing her campaign.”

The company is to be decimated from a recent announcement whereby the company is to be split into two leading to another 30,000 jobs lost. This is an aftermath of Fiorina's tenure at the head of HP.

Then there was her tenure at Lucent, formerly AT&T.

Think of how many she can put out of work as President of the United States.
When a conservative businessperson does it, it's seen as a good thing. They can outsource entire industries, ruin communities, eliminate many thousands of American jobs, blame and vilify everyone but themselves and collect huge sums of money for their efforts..........

......and Americans will praise them, feel guilty for taxing them, even engage in hero worship of them as they point to the personal wealth of these individuals as evidence of the supposed "good" they've done.

Because they and their sycophant politicians have brainwashed us. They've brainwashed us into thinking we are to blame for their "hardships" and that if we just give them whatever they want, one fine day they will shower us with stunning prosperity. As they grow ever richer and the middle class continues to shrink............

Am I wrong?
