Obama's place in it would have been defeating "red lining" of prospective clients on race.
If the makers of the original mortgages had been required to hold the paper they wrote and back the loans themselves you can be assured none of this would have happened, but then nobody makes a killing on the backs of the unwary and defenseless.

Feel free to paraphrase. I will not argue about wholesale quotations.

4-2-7, you have not attributed material that is obviously quoted. Unless you claim authorship of it, we must remove it as a violation of copyright laws. You have a chance to summarize it and provide links or simply remove it, but it cannot remain as plagiarized material.

Thnx Dan for taking the time for a detailed resonse, tho I don't accept the conclusion that the banks were blameless, nor that the purpose was to push as many bad loans as possible.

I do not think he is that good enough to be faking it....because the personality behind the words seem to match the misspellings. There is an anger that is just too real behind his posts in my opinion. His spelling is just as bad on AK too...
Dyslexia? Making a point about risky loans and then misspelling it as "lone" makes no sense and makes the author look uneducated rather than a clever troll. A smart guy would not troll in such a manner as to come off uneducated in other words.

Your welcome Steve, there is a lot of documentation of what and how it transpired but I felt you would like wiki better, or even believe it more.
I personaly have never said the banks are blameless, but the fault lies in regulating banks into making loans they would have never done.
Don't you think "Community Reinvestment Act" is a nice liberal name?
You see it's the unsustainable economic policies of the left that ultimately crippled the economy.

Ya know, "Uncle Joe" is what they used to call Stalin.
Just sayin'.

Are you trying to say in total?
If that's the case I did not quot in total, I cherry picked from a timeline.
