The convoluted and perverted logic here is this. A society cannot control the thoughts and behavior of violent psychopaths. Yet we ensure that they will be well armed when they do decide to act out their fantasies. Any attempt to enforce responsible gun ownership is interpreted as a violation of the 2A. Translation, restricting gun sales.

And as a favor to PC, would you please edit your quotes.

From WaPo - "The real story is contained deeper in the poll. In May, when the Register last polled, 27 percent of likely Iowa GOP caucus-goers viewed Trump favorably while 63 percent regarded him unfavorably. In the new poll, which was released Saturday night, Trump's favorable number is at 61 percent and his unfavorable at 35 percent."

It goes to show you that much of the GOP conflates incendiary rhetoric with conservatism (something that has been underway since Nixon's Southern Strategy). The base just loves their red meat, much to the chagrin of those few in the GOP with a modicum of decency.

Or they just are revolting against the party. That's what I believe because of who's in 2nd & 3rd.

Carson has said more than his share of incendiary silliness.

As for Fiorina, I have no clue why anyone would want someone with such a track record of failure as President.

AFAIK, the Democratic base isn't exactly enamored of Hillary any more (they seem more supportive of Bernie or Warren (if Warren were to run), and to the degree it is, it isn't because of her incendiary rhetoric.

Their support is more ideological, as opposed to the GOP base's insatiable appetite for red meat, probably honed from years of Limbaugh and his ilk.

I've got dj on ignore (because he really scares me) so it took seeing finn's reply to him to catch his link to this Yahoo! article.

So, the title says, "Hillary Clinton Compares GOP Stance on Women's Health to Terrorists' Views". That's a lie. Hillary did not say that the GOP position on women's health is shared by "terrorists".

Here's what she said:

“Extreme views about women, we expect them from some of the terrorist groups, we expect that from people who don’t want to live in the modern world, but it’s a little hard to take coming from Republicans who want to be the president of the United States, yet they espouse out-of-date and out-of-touch policies.”

She also specifically called out a handful of "Republicans who want to be the president of the United States" by name. She also called them out, saying, ""I would like these Republican candidates to look the mom in the eye who caught her breast cancer early because she was able to get a screening for cancer or the teenager who didn't get pregnant because she has access to contraception, or anyone who has ever been protected by an HIV test." (emphasis mine)

Yahoo! news really stinks.

And she happens to be correct. Their views do coincide with those of some terrorist groups... and not just Muslim ones.
