Who and what defines an assault weapon? All weapons can be an assault weapon if that's what you use it for.

In Cal and the leader of the nations gun laws it was based on magazine capacity and some stock styles. Politician coined the lable "Assault Weapon" because of their ignorance.

Pistols were reduced from 15 rounds to 10 max.

Rifles I think like the AR went to 10 rounds max as well.

These laws are "bans" and made the weapon not a assault wheapon.

But yeah that proposal that they did the poll with is our laws since about 1985. Wasn't it a bit over a year that kid down south went on a killing rampage for being picked on in collage. He used a Knife, Car and a Pistols he didn't need an "Assault Weapon" to kill about 6 people.

High capacity rapid fire tactical weaponry as per military application does not belong in general public ownership unless vetted, as are full automatic fire and silencer equipped firearms.

You can get in your car and drive a couple hundred miles to Arizona or Nevada and buy virtually any assault weapon you want at a gun show with zero background check. California's gun laws don't mean diddly squat Dan and you know it.

BTW we have had background checks for over 25 years. Unles a person has been commited to an institution for mental illness or broke the law because of their illness there will be nothing on the background check.

Doctor are requiered by law to keep patient confidentiality. In other words a compleat loonatics that has never been commited to a state or federal institution will not show up on background checks.

If any laws need changing it's this one as it will get peopel help that need it and keep society safer.

Just head on over to Nevada or Arizona and you can buy any high cap magazine you want, dude and you know it.

California law doesn't do shit to stop it. Gimme a break, I may have been born in the morning but it wasn't this morning.

It's ilegal to transport drugs and firearm over state lines without proper paperwork/permits. If your willing to do that your a criminal already.

I have no problem with the rest of the country having the same laws we do here, I'v been living under them anyway. I just brought up what your post polled on is what we have here anyway. It doesn't stop anything!!!
