The Republican establishment is really pulling out all the stops to try to sabotage Trump. I predict this latest effort, if they go through with it, will backfire on them big time.

Amid mounting concerns about Donald Trump’s candidacy from the GOP establishment, Republican leaders in at least two states have found a way to make life a lot harder for him.

The Virginia and North Carolina parties are in discussions about implementing a new requirement for candidates to qualify for their primary ballots: that they pledge to support the Republican presidential nominee — and not run as a third-party candidate — in the general election.

The procedural moves are clearly aimed at Trump, who pointedly refused to rule out a third-party run during the first GOP debate.

A promise of that sort would probably be pretty toothless.

Seems contrary to democratic principles but I am certain something like that will wind up in court and the GOP will lose while getting negative media attention. But as the saying goes, 'bring it on'. Trump seems to have cornered the white blue collar electorate and let's see how they react.

Strange bedfellows: Donald Trump and the white working class
Quote:
First, white working-class voters have proven increasingly unpredictable and unfaithful to any single party. It should not be surprising that they tend to live in many of the most prominent swing states, including Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Here is why Trump's ongoing taunting of Hillary is a cause for concern come general election.

Hillary was never going to get the angry white male vote anyway.

The big Republican takeover of congress in 1994 had a lot to do with the angry white males that were hating on Hillary because they felt Bill was allowing her to be a co-president. The thing is, that demographic has been steadily shrinking as a percentage of the vote. It's nowhere near as strong today as it was in 1994.

Now the Trump show on Fox continues, Kelly is back and Trump is on the prowl.
Watch his ratings (er support) go up this week.

Roger Ailes hits back at Trump over Kelly attack
Quote:
Last night, Trump blasted Megyn Kelly in a series of tweets and retweets, saying “perhaps she could take another eleven day unscheduled vacation.”

The Trump show continues. This from a news conference in Iowa.

First, Trump booted Univision anchor Jorge Ramos out of his news conference. Then things got interesting.
