Fwiw, I'm glad to see a true lefty sparking up the young troops. Most of us old feckers on the left are too gimpy and worn out to be marching and attending rallys. Unless Bernie gets the Eagles or Hot Tuna to perform at one of his shindigs, I'm stayin' home.

I find this race fascinating. Just for the drama, I hope others don't jump in & dilute the fun.

I'd probably stay home for the Iggles but I;d definitely show up for Tuna. Jack Cassady is one hell of a bass player.
That being said, I'd say Bernie could get any of those old hippies to do a gig for him. All he'd need to do is ask.

Enthusiastic crowds in the Midlands and the conservative Upstate rallied behind Bernie Sanders’ populist message Friday.
The Democratic presidential hopeful’s campaign estimated that 2,700 people filled the Medallion Center ballroom in Columbia. The diverse crowd overflowed into another room and the lobby.
Earlier Friday, Greenville got a taste of “Bernie-mania,” when Sanders drew a mostly – but not exclusively – white crowd of 2,800 to the TD Convention Center for the self-described democratic so************************t’s first campaign event in the state.
|
Mean while, Bernie pulled in a total of 5,500 in two rally's in South Carolina.
Not bad for a Yankee So************************t in Banjo playing country.

Meanwhile Bernie pulls in bigger crowds than Trump. That must bore holes in the Donalds brain............

There is an honesty about Bernie that just doesn't seem to exist with ANY of the rest of them. Now, whether his ideas would actually work for the betterment of society, I don't know. But I sense that he truly believes they would and he wants to do the right thing. Hell, he gets emotional about it and in doing so, makes the rest of them look cold and mechanical in comparison.

I'm lost. He seems sincere because he gets emotional? Gosh I don't remember anyone getting a woody when John Boner got emotional. Not that I'm defending Boehner but folks think only a lib can care, am I right?

CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE (The Borowitz Report)—Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is gaining legions of new admirers by shamelessly pandering to voters who want to hear the truth, critics of the Vermont senator say.
According to those critics, Sanders has cynically targeted so-called “truth-based voters” to build support for his Presidential bid.
“People come to Sanders’s rallies expecting to hear the truth, and he serves it up to them on a silver platter,” the political strategist Harland Dorrinson said. “It’s a very calculated gimmick.”
But while Sanders’s practice of relentlessly telling the truth might play well in states that are rich in truth-based voters, like the early primary states of Iowa and New Hampshire, critics say that his campaign could stall in states where the truth has historically been less important, like Florida.
“At some point in this campaign, voters are going to get truth fatigue,” Dorrinson said. “Right now, the novelty of a politician who doesn’t constantly spew lies is grabbing headlines. But after months of Bernie Sanders telling the truth, voters are going to start wondering, Is that all he’s got?”

Seriously, if Boehner were to run in the GOP primary, how many people will want to attend his rally? WAG would do.
