That is what Lapierre wants: more people on the street with weapons. It would be victory for the NRA to have a bunch of active duty members parading around at the mall while on liberty with their M-16s and M-9 pistols slung over their tank-topped shoulders.

Aside from the Seals, the Navy is just as bad as the Air Farce.

I'd say the Air Farce, Navy, and Coast Guard will all need to amp up their weapons training.
The Army and Marines however are good to go.

Everyone does not need to carry weapons on base, we all know that - armed guards who know what they are doing (training) at entrance/exit points and better verification of those entering would be a logical step given the current threat level.

I've never worked around the Marines. I have, OTOH, worked extensively with the Army. There are quite a few in the enlisted ranks who wouldn't give me a warm-n-fuzzy if they were allowed to carry arms wherever they went. The Army understands that full well as evidenced by their strict controls over ammo.

Logical to me - start posting more of them where they will be most effective.

Nonetheless, it appears that things are starting to go my way.

It is funny watching TJ side with the knuckle-draggers.
