He won't make it. But, I like Bernie and so do his constituents. He has the guts to say he's a Democratic So************************t and he doesn't give a damn who doesn't like it. If more lefties weren't so damned feckless and timid, trying to appear to be what they are not, the world would be a much better place. And the jackasses on the right wouldn't be able to use that for ammunition anymore.
Think about it.

That is absolutely right BlueStreak.
I couldn't agree with you more.

If Bernie can gain use of the bully pulpit and beat the table to get out in front of some real economic issues, he will be a tremendous help to the Democrats. The Pepublican talking machine is so adept at framing nonsensical rants into issues that the Dems need to learn how to get the issues that matter to the plate.
Wealth distribution, jobs, taxes, policing, and equity are burning issues. Who gives a flying F about gay marriage, abortion, how schools are run, or welfare cheats when you need a job, and want to start participating in the American dream?
Maslow's hierarchy notes that people don't start worrying about overarching issues until their short term needs have been addressed. Borrowing from Romney's economic shorthand from the last election cycle, we need to move as much of the 47% that are government blood sucking leeches over to the job creators' side, and then we as a country will be in a much better place.
One of the first things Bernie should hammer on is the $100,000 cap for paying SSI tax.

I absolutely agree with that one.
It should be the same as the medicare tax.
No upper limit on it.

I think the Republicans and their handlers want to keep all those culture wars blazing away in order to divert attention away from the economic screwing that they are giving to the masses.

Bernie would at least be interesting.
Hillary dropped out a long time ago. She is yesterday's breakfast - she may get a great deal of the Dem. party vote, but not as much as expected.
Look at her - listen to her - people just don't like her, and in the end that's how most non-political junkies vote - she comes off as full of sh*t, shallow, and crass. I have no idea if she is or isn't any of those things, but that is how she resonates.
She could still win, but she's a has been - the lack of any halfway decent challengers could give her the "meh, whatever" vote and do the trick.

No doubt that's true down at the South Carolina Country Western Titty Bar that you hang out in, but that ain't exactly a microcosm of America.
