I really don't much care who the Democratic candidate is, as long as it's somebody who can beat anybody in the Klown Kar. It seems to me that shouldn't be such a difficult task considering the shift in voter demographics in the only national contest over the past 25 years, plus all the pandering the GOP has done to delusional religious fanatics and moronic populists.

There's content in Schweizer's book? So far, it's frightwing allegations with zero evidence by all accounts.

All the WaPo and NYT have done so far is to confirm the existence of some of the "dots" which Schweizer himself is apparently unwilling to say can be connected.

The question we should be asking about both these books is "cui bono", who benefits. As things stand, Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush are the most likely nominees. Who would be the most likely beneficiary/beneficiaries of a take down of both front-runners? That would be one of the second string Republican candidates, someone like Walker, Paul or Cruz. Having both the Democratic and Republican front-runners out of the race would grease the skids for them to sleaze their way into the White House.

Now, who among those second stringers has a connection to Schweizer? Well, not Cruz or Paul but Walker does via the Koch brothers who want Walker to be president and who are huge funders of Schweizer's organization, the so-called Government Accountability Institute.

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the content in the book was sourced from individuals with Dem ties, particularly with the way the media has jumped on this. I suspect that there are a fair number of Dems that either:

• are concerned about a Clinton cadidacy and putting money into it because the Clinton sleaze factor - as history shows - can surface at any time.
• would vastly prefer to see Warren as the leading candidate.
