Aren't you missing the point of this thread? The officer is charged with murder, held without bail and will be tried in a civilian court of law. Are you claiming since Scott ran away from the cop, this will be judged as justifiable homicide?

He also has been fired from his job, and the chief of police and mayor have publicly repudiated his actions.

I don't understand why the black cop that did not speak out immediately about the planted taser is not also suspended and under investigation for being an accomplice in the planting of the Taser, ie interfering with a felony crime scene.

If he were a civilian and did that at the scene of a cop shooting, he would be hanging today.

My limited understanding of the law makes me think that the officer who saw Slager drop the Taser is an accessory after the fact. That means he can be charged and tried for obstruction of justice for attempting to conceal a crime which he witnessed.
