Justice for Martese!!!!!!!!!

OK...here's how I read this one. Already drunk punk-ass Martese Johnson tries to get into a bar with fake ID and when rejected goes belligerent. So the Alcohol Control Agents grab him and he resists. And like any drunk asshole on the street who's resisting the cops, he's on his face in the street getting cuffed. At which point Martese starts screaming, "I'm a UVA student you fucking racists!"

No Martese, you're a drunk asshole who ends up with his face on the pavement and a bloody forehead, just like any white, brown, or yellow asshole honor student who acts out when he can't fake his way into a bar and resists when the cops bust him for his bad ID and for his D&D. And now we have a thousand UVA students wandering aimlessly around campus waving their "Stop the racism" and "Justice for Martese" banners.

Justice for my-ass, is more like it. Unless there's something else big going on behind this story that nobody knows yet. But it needs to be majorly big...and not a rehash of the hysterical runaway coed incident two years ago.

Yep.

When you're drunk, disorderly, and resisting, and the cops take you down, you're asking for a gash in your forehead when you hit the pavement. Every article we're going to read says Martese was "beaten". I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that any reporter who looks at this photo and writes that this kid was "beaten" is the author of inflammatory bullshit. Martese was beaten by the pavement. I hate to agree with dj, but he's right...Martese was beat up by gravity.

But OK. Let's say the facts come out that these cops are in the habit of over-reacting. Then they are. "Fucking racists", though? My ass. The cops who took my disabled brother down and put a gash in his forehead had no idea he was a Jew.

That Martese is black is incidental. They would have taken down a disorderly drunk white guy just as hard and just as fast.

PS - a couple of summers ago I was up in the attic rolling out an additional layer of insulation. When I got out into one of the eave areas I pulled my head up too close to the underside of the roof decking and raked a roofing nail across my head just above my hairline. The blonde took a picture of me...I looked just like Martese. Nothing bleeds like a hole in your head.

You really can't make up how stupid and troubled some people are.

PS - back in 67-68, I worked the door at a couple of Rush St. joints in Chicago. Plenty of drunk white guys, black guys, all kinds of guys out front being cuffed with their faces being ground into the pavement.

My guess is Martese doesn't weigh 220 and can't run the 40 at 4.4, so his marketability may be comparatively limited.
