ISIS Being Re-Supplied From Outside

Reports are emerging that ISIS is getting air drops of weapons and ammunition from unknown sources. Among the suspects are Saudis and the Qataris (of course) but also the US. IMO, it's likely that whoever's doing it is not a "state actor" in any official sense.

It may be one of the seeming millions of seemingly infinitely rich oil sheiks doing it out of a desire to wipe the Shia off the face of the earth but it also could be being done for purely mercenary interests. The latter possibility leaves open the possibility that some MIC type person from anywhere could be behind this.

ISIS has lots of money, both from the sale of oil on the black market and from anonymous benefactors in the Middle East so they can buy what they need. All that's needed is someone willing and able to sell it to them.

A seemingly insoluble mess just got a hell of a lot messier.

I'd be highly skeptical of anything from Russia Today on the subject of ISIS, Syria, etc. in that they, along with Iran, are Assad's primary patrons.

As for Syria's BFF, wait and see. That just might be us before long.

I don't doubt that ISIS is getting outside help from rich Sunnis and Sunni states. I do doubt, however, that the US is airdropping weapons to them as per the RT article.

Here's a bundle of weapons looking for a home.

The Pentagon is unable to account for more than $500 million in U.S. military aid given to Yemen amid fears that the weaponry, aircraft and equipment is at risk of being seized by Iranian-backed rebels or al-Qaeda, according to U.S. officials.

With Yemen in turmoil and its government splintering apart, the Defense Department has lost its ability to monitor the whereabouts of U.S.-donated small arms, ammunition, night-vision goggles, patrol boats, vehicles and other supplies. The situation has grown worse since the United States closed its embassy in Sanaa, the capital, last month and withdrew many of its military advisers.
