Actually, my Israeli friends laugh about the sometimes inhospitable and argumentative nature of their countrymen (while also bemoaning it). Heck, they themselves claim that arguing is their national sport. Many Israelis, though, have tired of the whole thing and are moving to, of all places, Berlin.

Funny. Unlike Finn, I wouldn't say that.

Mainly I think your instincts are a lot better than Ike's, and your motives are somewhat different. The simplest way to put it: with you, it isn't all about how mean the world is to you and people you like.

Ike just has a blind spot when it comes to Israel. I can live with that. Just like DaWildman and Catwomen on that other forum we were on. And they were two of my best buds there. I still email Wildman from time to time, but I lost touch with Catwomen when the forum closed down.
