Outside of the shooting, you conflated(your favorite word, BTW) everything else to be due to criminal elements amongst blacks, and that there was no reason for this lawlessness.
As it turns out, it was the lawlessness on the part of the FPD, the court system, and the city of Ferguson government which was the impetus for the protests and riots. It took a second round of lawlessness by citizens to direct the attention of the DOJ on the criminal elements on the municipal government side of matters.
The two or three locals that know and post here were summarily dismissed.
The Browns are now going after civil damages, which will get interesting.
Wilson's police union lawyer was damn good, as Wilson touched every single base he needed to hit in his "testimony" at the GJ. That won't be the case in a civil trial, however, as his security blanket will be sundered in rapid fashion.

Also, I warned on multiple occasions against conflating one with the other (whether or not racism exists in the PD proves nothing about Wilson's guilt or innocence).
On the issue of the shooting, I'd say the DOJ's findings coincide with my POV, not yours.

A point of view I have also held.

I posted only about the shooting (i.e., whether or not the evidence and the law supported a murder charge) and the pointlessness of burning down one's own town based upon a contrived story of a police execution. DOJ's findings only serve to undergird my argument. I'm done talking about Ferguson. You can ramble on all you want.

You got to see five to ten of them, depending which story you read. Three officers have been identified as either active or shadow KKK members, and other officers that have come in to FPD from other departments, including their chief, have a history of notably poor relations, arrests, and actions against minorities.
If you actually spent twenty minutes reading the varied accounts, you would have no doubt in your mind that bigotry and racism are rampant in Ferguson, and infest their PD, court system, and government.

There may be a racist environment. The account I read had excerpts from six emails.
But that doesn't mean that this incident was caused by racism.
Look at the way that kid shoved the store clerk some five ten minutes before the incident. I honestly don't believe race came into it.

2 Ferguson police officers quit; court clerk fired after Justice report

Call it what you want, but I see this as a sign that flood gates are beginning to open.

Race had nothing to do with Brown's theft of the cigars.
Race has everything to do with how cops and blacks interact in Ferguson. Race is the reason the FPD issues over 90% of their 'manner of walk" tickets to blacks. Race is the reason why the FPD followed a policy of escalation, and in Brown's case, turning a simple burglary into a violent confrontation into a death at the hands and gun of a cop.
If you bother to read some of these articles, you will see the basic gameplan for the civil lawsuit. If you don't read the articles, you will be mystified why the city of Ferguson either will spend over $10 million revamping their PD wholesale, or give up and turn everything over to the County PD.

In the report on the police, investigators also said they had found the racist emails.
One email compared President Obama to a chimpanzee and another said Obama wouldn’t be in office for long because a black man can’t hold a job.
A third email quoted a joke that a black woman had been paid to have an abortion as an anti-crime measure.
