As of two hours ago, no allegations of speeding and no word on the texting.

Whatever happened to "assured clear distance"? It used to be that claiming someone "stopped abruptly" was no excuse in traffic court. I know this, because I was once told, "If you had assured clear distance and had been paying attention, you could have stopped in time.". Of course, I was far from rich and famous and no one died or suffered serious injury in my accident.

Who's not fucking speeding for christ's sake. Do you ever go out on the interstate dj? If you're not doing at least 15 over whatever the limit is, you get run down like a stray dog.

Although I heard some talk a while back, here in Illinois, that the state government is considering when you're on one of the tollways (which were supposed to not be tollways anymore over 30 years ago), that if you get from one open-road tolling to the next too fast, you will get a speeding ticket in the mail. Creative taxation at it's best.

Three marriages and six kids, he now wants to experience life as a woman. Rather than try to understand his motivation, I would rather let him live his life as he chooses. Live and let live. I am much more worried about global warming and drought in CA. Tahoe basin has little to no snow which could spell disaster for SoCal this summer.
