They ignore that the folks who are reaching out to help this guy are mostly average folks who happen to have big hearts. They ignore the fact that Robertson actually likes his job and therefore hasn't missed a day of work, and is someone who is trying hard to do the right thing in an environment where there are plenty of incentives not to.

It's funny how you guys take a media "feel good" story about a guy dedicated enough to his long-term job that he chooses to walk and take a bus to work when his car breaks down (and subsequently spurs a charity drive to help him when he doesn't even want such help) and extrapolate it into a tale of the non-caring ways of our country and its employers.

I made no such claim. I said he chose his job and his domicile and was seemingly happy with both. Good for him.
