2. They're just not always germane.

Survival in the urban jungle is paramount. You can't help anyone (including yourself) if you're dead.

You're too kind. It's considerably worse than that IMO. It takes a certain level of psychopathology to suggest that the taking of another human life, regardless of the circumstances, is ever a "win." And that level is considerably more severe than a simple avoidance of emotion or irrational fear of survival. Far as I'm concerned Zeke has left whatever shred of humanity he might have ever had, permanently in his other pants.
