It's about the (BIG) money. 'They' (our fearless leaders) have been hanging on hoping the regime changes, so the massive amount of money about to be made there (mostly real estate almost certainly) would go to someone other than Castro and his cronies.

But it was bound to happen sooner or later. Plus, this minor thing draws attention away from the rest of Obama's horrible overall foreign policy
