Brown acted foolishly and got shot.
Now, many in Ferguson are acting foolishly.
If they get shot, they've brought it on themselves.

This is in my opinion a naive miscalculation. But anyway I respect your point of view.

Come on Finn your way up higher in the General Schedule than me...you have to admit that no matter what you think about the case the Prosecuting Attorney in this situation did not have the heart to really bring about an indictment.

That could mean two things. One is that this case should have never gone to a grand jury.

The facts as I see it. Brown was resisting arrest, plain and simple. If he had just allowed the officer to do his job and the courts do theirs he be alive today. Funny if the officer had a police dog and set it loose on Brown public sediment would be different because of the simple fact, Brown would of submitted quickly to the officer. Maybe even before the dog was let go, why then is it different when the office is trying to subdue the suspect? Where the suspect was confrontational to say the least.
Being a long hair since the early seventies I was a quick study. Given the fact I also operated a van at the time and was constantly a subject of road checks. To keep my mouth shut eyes down and let it play out.

“Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.”

What is tyrannical about a police officer defending himself against a felon assaulting him? Your preconceived notions have left you completely oblivious to facts.

Dude just robbed a store like a punk. You think Douglass would have DEFENDED him Tom? Books, they're wonderful things.
Now apparently nothing says 'I'm for justice!' like burning down the local pizza place.

There is a difference between submission and respect for the process of the law.

Without a doubt. Too bad there's some folks out there, including some on this forum, who just don't seem to understand that it can be that simple.
It also appears that Mr Brown was doing a bit more than just resisting arrest.
Included in the grand jury material released tonight after the announcement that no charges would be filed in the Michael Brown killing is a handwritten witness account stating that the teenager charged at Officer Darren Wilson “like a football player. Head down.”
The unidentified witness wrote that the 18-year-old Brown “has his arms out with attitude,” while “The cop just stood there.” The witness added, “Dang if that kid didn’t start running right at the cop like a football player. Head down.”
The witness told of hearing “3 bangs,” but “the big kid wouldn’t stop.”
The witness’s account of the unarmed Brown charging Wilson--even after he had been shot in the hand during a struggle at the cop’s patrol car--supports the officer’s contention that he fired a series of shots as Brown bore down on him.

"Arms out with attitude" sounds a like what many have tried to make into the narrative about Wilson having his hands up. Interesting.

Evidence leading to prosecution, much less conviction was lacking. A trial would have had the same result in the court and the street, with the expenditure and time wasted.
