Yes, they are. They are going after everyone, except those who have need of nothing and far more than they could ever possibly need. The situation gets more insane by the day. They get elected by the same working class they fuck to death, who then vote for them some more only to have their lives get worse yet and still haven't figured out who's doing it.

The mechanism behind it?

"If you lose your job for any reason, there is no one to blame but yourself. Your wages are too high, your benefits too lavish and the regulations and institutions that protect you too onerous........And no matter what you concede, it shall always be thus."

They've made US* feel guilty for what WE have done to the wealthy and the corporations. We have "victimized" the "job creaters" by expecting them to create jobs people can actually live off of. We are to feel guilty, as if we commit a crime in expecting our labor to be justly rewarded.

Yes, folks, the millionaires and billionaires are the victims of the poor. We have abused and exploited them, the poor dears. (This is what we are expected to believe.)

Dave

(*Well, all too many of us, anyways.)

A lot of this silly-ass nonsense comes out of the conservative Christianity BS that so many of them have bought into.

Here's how it works. Do well...all credit and praise goes to Jesus. Fuck up...all responsibility and blame goes to you.

I could never get that model to work for me. Maybe that's how we managed to do OK without ever taking a giant shit on anybody else.

Praising Jesus loudly and in detail for your many wonderful blessings is of course a passive-aggressive way of bragging.
