You can't see parallels in my example?
If we are to trust potentially exposed health professionals to self monitor and walk around in public, why not trust firearms professionals to wave around unloaded guns?
The science says you can't die from an unloaded gun. Can't let irrational fear or politics drive the bus, right?

No, there is no parallel as far as I can see. Furthermore, any firearms pro worth his salt will say there is no such thing as an unloaded gun.

Now, it's clear to me how Sarah got elected as Mayor of Wasilla.
BTW, hundreds of people die every year from "unloaded guns."

No one has ever died from an unloaded gun.
Many have died from guns that someone assumed was unloaded. If they are firearms professionals, you would trust them to know for certain, right? Just like you trust a healthcare professional to know if they have symptoms.
Or would any healthcare worker worth their salt say there's reason to be overly cautious?

Absolutely not. Many "firearms professionals," be they cops, soldiers or trainers are killed with "unloaded firearms" every year.
Your analogy shows only that you are incapable of thinking without using guns as a point of reference.

From the CDC, I posted this link before: http://www.cdc.gov/quarantine/
And of course, obviously, one is not quarantined for exposure to ANY infectious disease, only particularly dangerous ones, when public health authorities say it is necessary.

There is no parallel. When a person waves a gun around in public, it will set panic and stampede will ensue. How would the public know that the gun is not loaded? Or even if it is, who would believe him (her)?
In the case of Ebola, if a person has been exposed to it how can you tell?
Your purpose seems to be to weave guns into the conversation. Besides not everyone contracts Ebola from public exposure but most everyone will die if shot at.
