Actually, exactly. With all respect, we have lived here for his entire tenure, so a newspaper reporter who does a hit and run article does not have the depth nor the broad perspective that we locals have.

You read about the situation that we are living. Our kids play on the same sports teams as the sons and daughters of the prosecuting attorneys, public defenders, and litigating attorneys. We get to hobnob with some city, county, and municipal cops and were strong supporters of the fallen fund until Zeke convinced us to help elsewhere.

I'm glad your sources know otherwise.

On its face, that sounds very bad indeed. OTOH, as the old adage goes, never point a gun at something you don't intend to shoot.

In the places I have lived, the same is true. If an officer has to pull his gun, it means he is planning to use it.
