For a change, the cost of the health insurance you get at work didn't go up much this year.
The cost of job-based health benefits stayed nearly flat in 2014, according to survey results released Wednesday. This year's figures continue a trend of slow growth in premiums for health insurance provided by employers.
The average annual premium for a family plan rose 3 percent to $16,834, and the average price for a single worker increased 2 percent to $6,025, the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation and the American Hospital Association's Health Research and Educational Trust found. Workers on family plans are paying an average 29 percent of that cost, while single employees are paying 18 percent of it. The groups polled more than 2,000 small and large employers for their report.

Check this graphic out (from the above article)
Under George W. Bush (2001-2009) the average cost of a family plan went from $7,061 a year to $13,375 a year. That's an average of 8.3% a year.
Then under the Evil Kenyan Muslim So************************t Anti-Christ Obama it increased for $13,375 to 16,834. That's an average of 4.7% a year.

It's because the insurance industry finally has some real competition. That's why they spent so much money goading their stooges to run interference.

The welfare cheat scumbags across the street have a "Re-elect Randy Forbes" sign in their front yard. They're probably tired of people who don't work living off of their checks...................

Without Obamacare we paid 50% more than the next most expensive 1st world government sponsored health care system...which puts us, on the average, in 40th place in outcomes among 1st world countries.
With Obamacare it's the same deal, but at least there's coverage for most people who couldn't get it before. Which is nice, but it's still shit.
But Bob...we can't blame only the GOP for this. Even with Republican opposition, the primary reason why we don't have a decent healthcare system is because a majority of the ignorant fucking people don't want one. And that includes most alleged "progressives" as well.
What this 5 cent cigar needs is a good country. What this country needs is a good electorate.

Of course. They are still entrenched in the middle. Should have let AIG fail as a token FU.
