Funny, I didn't read my post to have said that. FWIW, I spoke to quite a number of Jordanians while there who didn't seem to harbor anger or resentment toward Israel. Funny thing is that when you cross the border from Israel into Jordan, the people there are far more hospitable, friendly and generous than on Israel's side of the border. No comparison, actually.

When my uncle was a consultant as an expert in Pomology representing UCLA Davis some decades ago, he wasn't particularly fond of the Israelis but thought the Egyptians most hospitable.

Finn is it possible overly cautious is perceived as not being hospitable in Israel? I've heard going through their airport security you feel like a criminal and any touristy area is heavily guarded by military with no regard for respect. Maybe repeated attempts to wipe your religion off the planet make you a bit more edgy?

I have heard the hospitality of the Arab world is legendary, I'd love to experience it.
Sometimes vicious, but hospitable Excellent strong coffee before the beheading?

So they are potential enemies.
Are you saying Jordan and Egypt aren't in communication with Gaza?

Yeh...funny, those stuck-up Jews, eh? I knew it. First the Rothschild's and now this.
When I was a kid, those selfish Hasid Jew kids down the block with the little hats would never share.

Last time I had lunch with my doctor friend Shawqat I asked him why he never apologized to me for Daniel Pearl. He told me to go fuck myself.

As he should have. I presume he had nothing to do with Daniel Pearl.

Maybe, but my impressions aren't exactly built upon a short visit there. I've spent about 5 weeks there in total over several trips and my son has now lived there for nearly 2 years. In my life and travels overseas in over 60 countries, I've actually never run into a people as rude and inhospitable as the Israelis. Conversely, I've never experienced hospitality and friendliness that exceeded what I've experienced in the "moderate" Islamic countries such as Turkey, Jordan and Morocco (other than Ireland, FWIW).
In-your-face arguing seems to be SOP for lots of people there, even in the hospitality industries. It's a bit off-putting to have a hotel clerk or waiter who wants to criticize or argue with you about your selection of room or meal, among the other daily insults you put up with there. I still strongly recommend going there (and Jordan as well if you do), but be prepared for a certain surliness far beyond your expectations.
