Your right. The navy is wrong.

Seriously dude, you wouldn’t really have grounded Maverick?
I watched an Admiral take off in an F-14 at NAS Miramar in 1986 and promptly drop both auxiliary fuel tanks on the runway just as the wheels left the concrete. He came back bellowing that a "stray voltage" had caused the tanks to drop.

There is a cover over the switch that is tied down with soft safety wire. You must pull on the wire hard enough to break it, lift the cover, then throw the toggle to jettison the tanks.

The wire was broken and the cover up when we looked in the cockpit.

The official report? "Malfunctioning electrical circuit."

No matter how big the turd, some peoples chit just does not stink.

Pete

That they would. Stupid ISIS guys would make a martyr like no one's seen in centuries. And the result?

These guys keep talking about crusaders, but they haven't seen any real ones yet.

But don't worry. Francis isn't going near the place.

Seems like the same MO as the old Al Qaeda In Iraq from 10 years ago.
Now does anyone care? It seems like the media just turns a blind eye to these Islamic nazis to the point they are now murdering Americans. Will this finally top the attention of the US or are we all just waiting for the next looting protest in Ferguson?

Really?

I saw the latest beheading of an American journalist on CNN. Not hidden at all. I think what's happening is that the last thing many Americans want to hear is that were about to throw another fucking war. One man gets killed, so you send in the military and thousands more die? Another trillion bucks down the toilet and we still have terrorist issues, regardless?

This group HATES the non psycho islamist world. Want to kill everyone who will not convert to their version of the story. Is slaughtering children, raping women, and massacring entire villages because of religion. Sound like another time in history?

Let's not get involved and let the cancer spread. Don't worry the disease will make its way to the US and kill lots of Americans before you wake up. No one wants war, and no one wants to see military loses on foreign soil but ignorance here has bigger consequences.

What "ignorance"? If we didn't know about it, we wouldn't be talking about it.

We can't go on trying to run the whole world in the name of safety, Mike. It just isn't doable. At some point we have to start concentrating on internal problems or we're done anyways.

Besides, the last war we threw to end terrorism worked so well....didn't it?

Hmmmm... Looks like the problem still exists. Probably always will. Maybe we went about it the wrong way and it would be nuts to do it again. Ya think?

The ignorance is every front page is Ferguson while somewhere right before the comics is islamic state genocide. It took a beheading of an American to make it almost to the forefront.

This is not being "world police" Dave. It's about it not being OK to cut off little kid's heads and putting them on sticks on playgrounds as a warning to infidels. Pretty sure I read that there was regret not stepping in earlier in WW2, what's the difference here?

Seems sticking our head in the sand didn't work very well.

Beheading, some might be interested: I read a very old book on famous people in English history years ago. While telling the story of the 'Great White Pasha', the Mullahs finally got to him, and 'they beheaded him, as is their way'. Nothing new.

Yes it was until the ignorant voted for a nieve inept ideologist.
