Never heard of him.

What's your point?

How is it pertinent to this case?

White on white/black on black, limited/ no outrage. White on black, here it goes, again.
Selective outrage.

This country does not have a history of over 300 years of white on white, or black on black apartheid and Jim Crow,

Not quite true, witness the Irish for example. However, the stigma of slavery has singled Americans of African descent for especially aggregious degradation.

It's more than just slavery.

I've lately begun to watch a number of old movies from the 40's and 50's.

Kind of a nostalgia thing to see the old clothing styles, furniture, cars, etc. It brings back memories of my childhood. But whenever there is black person depicted in one of them I have to turn my eyes away. It makes me cringe to see the types of roles they got back then. It's embarrassing to watch. Try it sometime. See how racist our society was in a time that is still well within the memory of many of us.

Are you being deliberately obtuse or does it just come naturally?

Oh Puleeesse!

The Irish!?

All I remember from growing up is that the Irish were celebrated.

If you showed up at school without something green on on St.Patricks day you got ostracized. Even the teachers always wore green.

And the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, they were heroes. They were like Gods.

You gave me a great idea. Let's unearth the bones of John C. Calhoun, tie him to a post and whip his now skinny ass for the murder of Michael Brown. That should fix everything.

History, particularly the treatment of the Irish and other immigrants by the Know-Nothings in the middle of the 9th century, is obviously not your strong suit.

To compare it to what blacks have experienced is ludicrous.

I think it's the stigma of slavery that mainly affects the status of AoAd in this country post-1865. Perhaps a way of continuing the rebellion by other means in some places or a subliminal justification for slavery to assuage historical shame of the practice.
