From the reports coming out, many shop owners did protect their businesses last night and the previous.
A vivid example of the need for private gun ownership. The politicians put a chain on the cops, and the goons roamed freely. These store owners were left with 2 options- stand back and let their wares be taken, or defend it themselves.
If I were in that situation, I think I'd want an assault rifle that could spit lots of lead.
