I'm not surprised, except yes I am that the cops are owning up to this.

Apparently the cop who shot Brown stopped him for walking while black after all.

Police Chief Thomas Jackson said the officer did not know the teen was a robbery suspect at the time of the shooting and stopped Michael Brown and a companion "because they were walking down the middle of the street blocking traffic."

Walking in the middle of the street is more than enough reason to stop anyone.

That he was a criminal suspect is gravy.

This confirms my suspicions about the six day wait.

When the little chinaman called in about getting roughed up by a big black dude for a few cigars the cops did their usual and told him "yeah, we'll get right in it" and then put in in file 13.

Then when their boy got in trouble they went to working looking to character assassinate the victim and they finally found this.

The only thing that surprises me is that the cops are admitting that Brown wasn't a suspect when he was shot.

I guess someone in the Department, maybe the dispatcher, refused to go along with the scam.

It's seems to me that this whole episode is a series of people overreacting to stuff due to their preconceived notions, racism, or whatever. The victim overreacted to a cop telling him to get out of the middle of the street, the cop overreacted to the victim's reluctance to do so, the community overreacted to the shooting by rioting, the cops overreacted by bringing in storm troopers to enforce the peace and the press overreacted by making national news out of a local shooting (when there were probably about 30-40 other fatal shootings that same day in the country).

And lastly people such as you (who don't live there and have no clue what actually happened) overreacted because they somehow think their uninformed opinion actually clarifies things. Relax. The truth (good, bad and/or ugly) will come out.
