I agree with you; why no audio or video of the altercation? I would have thought that this is SOP these days with law enforcement.

And if credible evidence is available, why would you don military gear and let a riot happen. That's contrary to maintaining law and order.
I would be very surprised if the Police Chief keeps his position.

A prudent officer would have simply driven past Brown, called for back-up, then waited for help to arrive before attempting to engage a very large man. From what I understand a cop can use deadly force on a suspect fleeing the police in the commission of a felony. Technically that may be true in this case but it is obvious it could have been handled better by the police.

What happened to the assaulting the proprietor part?

You really don't get it, do you? (Or you're being willfully ignorant.)

You get one chance. One.

This isn't about stalling, this is about accuracy. Release ONLY what you can confirm from MULTIPLE independent sources.

"Stories straight?" That's just naive. No story is ever straight, even if you and I watched the same thing unfold in front of us sitting on a park bench, together. There is no "straight." Everyone sees things differently.

That's why some of us use data and not emotion.

Keeps us from appearing foolish in the light of evidence.

I haven't seen anything on that?

Do you have a link?

I also haven't seen video of the Robbery?

Did the suspect look anything like Brown?

What's so hard about that?

If it was good enough for the cops to try to apprehend Brown, then it was good enough to release to the public.

He was shot for assaulting a police officer.

You really know NOTHING about crime, the city, or how things work, do you?

The very first thing any petty robber is going to do post leaving the store is give the cigars to the person he was stealing them for. First, that's what minions do: take the risk. Second, it gets evidence out of their hands. Third, the actual recipient of the merchandise can just say he "found" the cigars and bear zero responsibility.

I get why you're so wrong on this whole thing, now. You, quite literally, possess no understanding of the society you're trying to fathom and how people exist in it. It's like asking a really bright three-year-old to discuss physics: you've witnessed gravity, leverage, friction, force and the like but you have NO IDEA how it all fits together.

Good for you. I wish everyone could be like that.

But that's not real.

I think you are so mired in your own righteous logic that you cannot differentiate facts from fiction. I am sure the Ferguson LE is using similar logic to yours and their city crumbles.
Ever heard of damage control?

It's not enough to say it. (Again, naive.)

You have to say it and back it with every ounce of obtainable and verified evidence.

If you don't, some whiny social apologist will say you're being "convenient."

This is how The World works.
