I have a feeling that qualified black police candidates know they have much better choices than Ferguson. Can you say 'hostile work environment?'

Hell, they probably don't get anything close to the best white applicants.

Did anyone else see the new 10 minute video (CNN) just released? It shows the kid laying dead on the ground for 10 minutes without the police even walking over to the body.

Once it is determined he is dead, you wait for investigators.

Don't you need to check for a pulse to determine if the person is dead or alive? 10 minutes without a cop in the picture is pretty damning.
I'm not trying to argue, but didn't you say that after a shoot, the officer is supposed to give aide to the injured?
Also, the kids uncle was covering the body which is disturbing the crime scene...correct?

According to the witness that Lawrence O'Donnell just interviewed no one checked the body for half an hour. I imagine the by-standers may have been too afraid to render aid with that cop pacing back and forth in front of the body just having killed a person in front of their eyes.

I would imagine if you were struggling inside your car you would fire your weapon at that point....not out the window at someone trying to leave your grasp.

The really bad job done by the Ferguson police department since the killing rivals the Martin case in Florida. The police chief is being directly contradicted by witnesses.

There was nothing "appropriate" IMO about this unless you are taking the LEOs word verbatim over anyone elses and are willing to accept this as a result of good professional public service ala "to serve and protect". It looks more like excessive police state abuse of authority to me and as such unacceptable. The LEO and the supers that directed the aftermath should be held to account for these excesses.

It is my opinion that Treyvon Martin was likely complicit in his demise, but George Zimmerman as the adult and the person initiating the confrontation should have been liable and accountable for the result of his poor judgment.
