No, I've been reading the posts, but feel that Bana was dead on about speculating. I've done it in the past & found that the actual event had little resemblance to the picture being painted by the press, government, and professional agitators.

I want the M.E.'s report.

Leaving the body uncovered on the street for five hours shows gross disrespect to the community, and is unprofessional to the point that someone should be disciplined for this, by suspension or reduction in rank or both. I see this as likely a bad-attitude cop idea of rubbing the community's face in the killing, showing them 'who's boss.'

Stress is an incredible thing and you discount the most significant mental difference: Operators perform a specific function from concealment, are trained to be unconcerned with ethics or morality save for their orders, and do not have to determine friend from foe -- ad hoc -- whilst openly interacting with a potential enemy in their environment.

I've shot at pistol ranges with off duty cops in the next lane.

Most of them aren't very impressive even when punching paper.

I can shoot about as good as the average cop.

And that ain't saying much.

I've also shot next to my son and some of his army buddies, and there is no comparison.

If you believe that anyone on Earth is going to shoot "near 100%" in a chaotic urban environment, with the threat not identified until he is in your car, using a twelve pound trigger pull on a Glock designed to be reliable and not Match Grade accurate, with an incredible adrenaline dump and trying to not piss down your own leg?

Then you have no connection with reality.
