From the nonexistant straight skinny I have heard, the cop told him to get out of the street, as the two were walking the same direction the cop wanted to go. There were words, the cop got out, more words, and the cop got pushed back into his car.

This is a sad case of too much dumb and too much attitude being present at a testosterone moment, with one person ending up dead because of it.

I've had this happen to me a number of times.

Teenagers loitering in the street and when you drive up they take their sweet time about getting out of your way and give you a "what are you going to do about it pops? " look.

It's aggravating as Hell, but I just practice my patience. I don't get out of the car and start a fight. And I sure as Hell ain't gonna pull my gun on them.

No it isn't.

You need to have some control over your emotions and practice a little discretion. You're the Goddamned adult and a law enforcement officer. If you allow a simple incident of an obstinate pedestrian blocking your car to escalate to where you end up shooting someone to death you have a serious psychological problem and are unfit to work in law enforcement.

Are you a cop yourself?

If so you need to get out and get yourself a job where you won't be a danger to society.
