Why the Israel lobby's grip on US politics may be waning

I think that opposing Israel and /or it's policies will get you labeled an anti-Semite and this is political suicide for a politician. And I am sure that the Israel lobby is very effective ensuring this. So politicians toe the line, pay lip service and vote for every funding bill for Israel that is proposed. Wonder why it's mostly unanimous and no questions asked?

Remember during the Iraq invasion, if you were opposed to it, it was considered unpatriotic. Roll out of the "Support Our Troops" ribbons cemented this belief.
