Call it whatever suits you whell. Fact remains the GOP has been run off the road by shifting demographics in this country. They may win their House seats in backwater cabbageville districts, and Senate seats in backwater cabbagville states. But in the big national election, the GOP has won a single popular vote in the last 6 Presidential elections. It's a more pluralistic country than it has ever been and it shows in the one countrywide race. Younger voters aren't interested in the GOP's basic tenants, and the party's attitudes toward women, medical research, gay marriage, gay adoption, guns, creationism in the public school classroom, public and private sector working people, the ever widening wealth gap, immigration reform...and a ton of other crap that Republicans have not been able to come to grips with.

I certainly don't see the GOP winning the next Presidential election, or the one after that unless it does an utter turn-around with it's platform. And one more Democrat administration or two is all that is needed to have a Supreme Court with the proper makeup to stop a lot of the horseshit that is going on in this country.

Race has a lot to do with this demographic shift. That's the facts. That's the truth. It's not a rhetorical device, it's not a straw man, it's what the country is now. Even a lamebrain gasbag like Limbaugh realizes it, and pretty much said so after the 2008 election. It's a different country. And it will only get worse for you.

Typical "shoot the messenger" retort.

Just who the hell thinks racists are "straw men"?

When we become a minority, will we be oppressed by the man?

Despite deserving of such, have no fear, I have faith that the majority will treat whites better than they were.

Tonto to Long Ranger at the end of the story with all the hostile indians, " 'we', paleface?"
Seriously, hopefully better than was done for/to 'them' by whomever 'we' were/are.

I don't disagree that the demographics are shifting. Its been happening for years. Women outnumber men in the workforce now, and that happened a few years back. Hispanics outnumber blacks, also happened a few years ago.
You state that younger voters "don't like the GOP", which I'm not in agreement with, but younger voters tend not to vote at the same rate / frequency as older voters. 2008 was an exception to the rule.

So, what leads you make the bold prediction that the GOP won't win in 2016? I suspect we'll learn a lot in 2014 about both parties and the voter's mindset about them.
