My mother's family was 7 generations in this country and barely Jewish at all. They were not observant Jews. I never spent 5 seconds in a synagogue or Jewish temple. I come by my agnosticism almost by osmosis.

I'm a Mick with Jew parents. But I learned what I learned about hate and bigotry directed at Jews from an early age. And next to abuse directed at animals, hate and bigotry frosts me pretty much more than anything.

So you go ahead and make your snarky comments about whatever types of people you think are in the world...and you can figure which side of me you end up on, if any of it matters a shit in Arafat's hat to you.

Having not seen the misery that 4 million Palestinians live in, I guess I can't expect you to care about their plight. It provide a place for everybody...and the Arabs wouldn't have it. In fact, none of the issues with the West Bank would be happening if Hussein had refused to knuckle under to the pressure from Syria and Egypt prior to the '67 war. If the Israeli's knew that invasion from Jordanian troops stationed in the West Bank was not a legitimate threat...Israel would never have needed to invade and occupy the West Bank. Hussein wanted no part of that war. But Hussein fucked up because he was afraid of the violence that would befall his people from his Muslim brethren if it didn't go along. That's the history Finn...whether you want to accept it or not. If you have some alternative legitimate history from that time period...you go right ahead and present it, and we'll see how it flys.

PS - legitimate Arab states in the region get plenty of this country's money and several of them get plenty of this country's military aid as well. So your one-sided analysis of the aid situation fits with the rest of your analysis. More opinion than fact.

The people of Gaza live in shit...and it's because of the choices they've made in leadership. They decided to support a terrorist organization. There is only one goal of Israel's Palestinian neighbors and that would be genocide...the next holocaust. The Palestinian authority gets billions in aid. The only reason their people live in shit is because of what the Palestinian authority has chosen to do with the money they get. It goes into weaponry and into the pockets of the leaders of the Palestinian authority. If you can't see that...it's considerably ironic that you would be accusing me of any ignorance.

And as far as I'm concerned I will not criticize the State of Israel any choices it has made to protect it's citizens from terrorists.
