I'd call it a more strategic take.

No. The tea party line is that you're a wild-eyed commie nut bag.

Hamas talks of destroying Israel while Israel actually destroys Gaza.

One year later, Israel froze settlements, hoping the gesture would entice other Arabs to join the Camp David peace process. Not one Arab nation did.
The West Bank flap is just another red herring. The central and recurring theme for the Arab states and the Palastinians is their collective desire for the destruction of Israel.

So it's all their fault, always has been their fault, and always will be their fault. So unconditional support of Israel, no matter what, is what you're selling.
I'll just say one thing. If as you think the Arab states desire the destruction of Israel (as if a state could desire anything), Israel will be destroyed. Money and technology will not save them forever. They are too outnumbered, and it's only going to get worse. Their only hope is to change that desire. And that can be accomplished only by making peace with the Palestinians. Whatever it takes. There is no other way.

Israel is striking out in anger and frustration, they are not presently destroying Gaza.

The Hamas charter is quite clear on that: there can be no peace with Israel. So unless and until the Palestinian Authority publicly condemns Hamas - and they've been pretty careful not to do so - the conflict will continue until one side or the other comes out on top.
Which is another reason why Iran can't be allowed to roll out nukes. Once that happens, it will be WW III.

So you rule out there being even the slightest possibility of making peace with Hamms, because of what it says on an old document.
I say again--if Israel does not make peace with the Palestinians, they will eventually be destroyed. The only question is how many will go down with them.

Well, it's a document that can't be that old, since Hamas has only been around since the mid - late 1980's. And if it was just some "old document" that no one paid much attention to, that would be one thing. The problem with regarding it as just some "old document" is that Hamas's actions and words appear to be in complete alignment. So, at some point, I guess you need to take them at their word.
