You're way too easy on him. He's a rapist defending his sex slaves.

What's not being discussed is that those religious beliefs are based on fairy tale ideas with absolutely no basis in science or provable fact.

Yes indeed, we are making constitutional law based on the idea that people can discriminate against each other because they believe in fucking fairies. Our highest court is treating religion like it's a provable scientific fact that God is in the heavens above us and we're all going to heaven or hell when we die. The supreme court validating that idiocy. We're a nation of utter fools.

Pray tell (), how would this flaw be fixed?

Scalia retires and takes his idjit wingman Alito with him. I nominate Liz Warren and Bernie Sanders to replace them.

Maybe, maybe not. Though I will grant that a slave's consent should perhaps not be considered uncoerced.

A corrupt and corrupting thing, slavery.

Ah so Warren and Sanders would be our infallible enforcers of fact.

Ike I agree, with a caveat, he was a product of his world. Excuse him (and many of his contemporaries)? No. But they did bring in a system that ended slavery and brought a great deal less suck to the world.

That would almost be humorous if we weren't looking at the current crop of rabid and reactionary wingnuts legislating their personal viewpoints from the bench.
