I'm tired of this right knee giving me fits, at least I got a series of x rays done today. Time for an adult beverage.

Hope you get to feeling better.
They say you can learn to live with it, I've never been able to completely heal up and move on.

Thanks Barney.
I'm sure the sawbones is going to want to dig around in there and at least clean up some torn cartiledge. An old construction injury has advanced to the stage where it's interfering with work, oh well. Gettin' old sucks.
I might have to have second Kentucky Tea to celebrate the news out of the Bluegrass state today.

This marriage thing is such a non issue with the people I know. Especially the younger they are the less they care. See zero problem with two people who love each other getting married.

Since my back pain is not getting any better either (for real), I might as well muse about the next presidential election.
Interesting that Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush are the front runners. And neither seem to really want the presidency albeit for different reasons. And there do not seem to be any viable second choices for either party. That is a shame and a sign that qualified candidates do not want to go through the media circus for a very low paying job*.
*Bill Clinton's speaking fees for one gig exceeds Mr. Obama's annual salary.
Or check Sarah Palin's tax returns for reasons why she quit her day job.
It will cost over a billion dollars per candidate and that money needs to be raised, deals made, promises to be kept. Quite a daunting and shameless task.
Now the real fear for the Democrats is that if Hillary does not run, chances are that a Republican will get elected president. It then becomes a greater matter of concern regarding the long term makeup of SCOTUS than the presidency itself. Citizen's United, McCutcheon, Holly Hobby are all extreme narrow decisions that I would call legislating from the bench.

For the record I would like to see some of fresh progressive voices coming into their own too but then there's the simple fact that you can't lead if you don't win.

There's no upside to formally announcing at this point, only a downside. She still has quite a while to make up her mind.

The right knee is the root cause. I injured it in boot camp, 1982. Torn ligaments that still occasionally flare up. When it acts up, I favor it which messes with my lower back. I've had it x-rayed and so on, but the best they can tell me is that I'm "starting" to get arthritis. Whatever. So, now I have a support sock for it that works pretty well. I slip it on when the thing starts to ache. Plus, there's BioFreeze and Aleve, which helps.....
Anyhow, the last week was hell. I missed a night of work on Tuesday because I could hardly walk. Today was much better.

I'm from Chicago. Maybe you had to be there. The guy was really dynamic. Really impressive And in addition to how impressive he was, I think a lot of Democrats couldn't wait to hop on the bandwagon of electing the first black president. I guess race trumped gender in 2008.
There was a lot of stuff about him that it doesn't appear ever got much, if any national attention. His mentoring by IL State Senator Emil Jones...one of the great political hacks in a state full of political hacks...the sweet kickback real estate deal on his 6000 S/F house in the Kenwood neighborhood with current federal pen resident, and Chicago deal maker Tony Rezko. And some other stuff. There was all this legit questionable information on the guy, and all the idiotic Republicans would do was bleat about Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers and birth certificates.
