Seen it all to often people complaining about the union dues and not getting any benefits. All they while they are the ones who use the services offered by the union when in trouble. Same one's who complain about seniority until they have some juice!

Freeloaders plain and simple, let others pay your way. Typical right mentality, oops don't want to give them any credit for an independent thought.

Yes.....
the home care network is staffed by hard working and underpaid health care providers who are taking care of our family members. I guess if one is taking care of a child or parent one may be upset with union dues...however nothing is permament....someday a stranger may be taking care of a loved one and I would hope they are getting a living wage so they provide as good care as possible.

A living wage? Wow what a concept.

I think the court got this one right. I think it's a stretch to say that home health care workers are public employees just because a significant amount of their income comes from Medicare. There are a number of doctors specializing in geriatric care, but this does not make them public employees either.

What we have learned here in this thread so far:

1. You want the government out of the business you don't own.
2. You want the unions (and you don't specify public or private) out of the house you don't own.
3. You will continue to provide balanced reporting from sources like the Frontpage Rag.
4. You lie like a rug, you're a union buster. Your political heroes are union busters and want all these commie union thugs gone.
5. You don't know shit from shinola about what is actually driving one state after another closer to bankruptcy. Because it ain't public unions, public school teachers, or state employee pensions. Those are just convenient targes for harebrained right-wingnuts who get their "information" from Frontpage Rag, FOX, and the EIB.

Of course analyzing a court decision in order to develop opinions about it's reasonable and unreasonable points is not 5 below's agenda. Reason is never 5 below's agenda.
