If they have a store here I have no idea where it could be and don't want to know, Michael's has most of what I ever need, the internet has the rest.

Because there's no difference. If you can do one, you can do the other. If you can do it with contraceptives based on religious belief, you can do it with any medical procedure based on religious belief. Reckon what the SCOTUS will say when the first Jehovah's Witness or Christian Scientist shows up in front of them wanting to deny a whole list of basic medical services in their employee contract because it's against their harebrained religion?

Why TF do you think so many of us want employers out of the health care process??? Employment should have never had anything to do with one's access to health care.

I'm rolling my eyes because I know it's a slippery slope, Nothing more - Nothing less.
I also want employers out of the system. Having said that, I want the damn government out of it as well.

They can already refuse to fill a goddamn prescription. It's unbelievable. "We don't fill prescriptions to kill babies, you murdering scumbag."

But again...as an accepted at-will contract, employers can already refuse to hire anybody. There are questions they can't ask, but all they have to say is, "We went with somebody else." And you're shit outta luck for that job. Walk in an apply for a job if you have some ink creeping up over your collar, or one too many piercings in your face. "Sorry...already filled." You wanna drag Hobby Lobby into court because you were denied employment for having too many piercings? Doesn't appear that legal right is gonna do you much good in this country's stellar legal system.

Since the early 1970's the deck is so fucking stacked against middle class and poor workers that they have virtually no rights when it comes to employment.

This is the part I find hat few Americans understand about the Canadian system. The only government involvement is that they are the insurer and they negotiate drug prices. Frex one of Florence's BP meds cost over $600 for a 90 day supply here. Up there it was $275.

Other than that nothing else changed, pick your own practitioners, hospitals did not change ownership.

However if you like being screwed over stick with private insurance companies and an uncontrolled Big Pharma.

So who's gonna pay for it? The fucking Pope?

Everybody should go out and buy their own insurance and fend for themselves against the insurance industry? Are you fucking nuts? The blonde and I have been there and done that...we were self-employed for 10 years and had to go out and buy our own health insurance coverage. We were raped with our pants on by the insurance industry. $10,000 dollars a year in premiums with a $10,000 deductible and that was just for two of us. Do you have a fucking clue what it would be for a family of 4 or 5? Really?

The only way to make this thing work is to have the government pay the doctors and hospitals, and have the money taken out of our taxes. Medicare works fucking fine. The government is not in your healthcare...all it does is pay the doctors and hospitals for your healthcare with your tax money. And if it was a universal system, not only would the cost as a percentage of GDP be cut in half, but whatever medicare fraud there is now would go away pretty goddamn fast because the federal government would be the only game in town if you're a provider.

Get caught defrauding the system and you're fucked forever. Go be a doctor in the fucking Democratic Republic of the Congo because once you're identified as a medical fraud perp, it's one of the only places you're gonna find where anybody is willing to give you a job.

Don't forget the Anglicans, they would not let us renew our vows in the American Chapel at St. Paul's London because I was divorced.

My lawyer had a cap that said "How do you spell relief - d i v o r c e".

I'm the only American in my family. My mother's side is in Canada & my father's in Scotland. I know a little bit about it.
My fear is this government has no morals.

FYI: I have some parcels for sale in New Brunswick if your thinking of moving anytime soon.
