The Kansas legislature has decided it's going to re-route a half billion in local property taxes collected by local school districts through the state treasury. Those of us who know what's going on realize that this is a ploy for Brownback to balance the sorely short books resulting from the elimination of income taxes on the wealthiest Kansans, including billionaire Koch brothers.

Local school districts are crying foul as they rightly should, while the state is grinning and saying "trust us".....
