Exactly!

There are no mentally ill in all those other countries with low gun violence.

Maybe if modern life is so stressful, we shouldn't have so many guns lying around.

I want to go on record right now!

I'm sick of my rights to obtain, hold and carry firearms. I mean shit this is 2014 not 1787

Earlier today, I threw all my entire firearm collection into Lake Superior

Has overall gun violence increased or decreased since the liberalization of CCW?

Turns out, people with guns end up using them. And people die.

That gun you use to "protect" your family is increasing their likelihood of being murdered.

"Meanwhile, for all the talk about good guys with guns protecting us from bad guys with guns, the "decrease" in gun violence ended in 2002, while the number of states that now issue CCW has roughly doubled since 2002. The NRA's notion that we are a much safer country now that residents of every state can apply for CCW falls flat on its face, even when we look at the data that the NRA uses to prove its own case."

Individual stories cut both ways.

I'd prefer to see the overall trends.

We'd probably agree on programs to calm people down

American Rifleman. Looks like an objective source.

Oh, I see. It's from the NRA. Sorry, I should have posted this:

"Meanwhile, for all the talk about good guys with guns protecting us from bad guys with guns, the "decrease" in gun violence ended in 2002, while the number of states that now issue CCW has roughly doubled since 2002. Oh, wait. I did.

See, that is looking at over-all trends.

Hence my belief that the more "freedom" they have to get carried away with it the more likely it is that there will, eventually, be a crackdown.

We call this "SELF FULFILLING PROPHECY".

For you "pro-gun" rightwingers;

As you've been telling me for years..................

It's kind if like too much "freedom" for organized labor. The further they pushed their cause to extremes, the more damaging they became to their own cause.

There. Do you get it, now?
