Under pressure from the Texas bully group the NRA reversed it's stance and said OK, go ahead and have a gun free for all you idiots. Carry your automatic weapons when you go out for coffee. Delude yourself that you're making anything "safer"

If you're so skeered to go out in public without your automatic weapon, do it.

I'm sorry, I simply cannot respect a man who is so cowardly he has to pack a weapon everywhere he goes.....

The morons at the NRA just walked back and retracted their common sense statement after push back from the idiots that promoted the restaurant tactical weapons incursions, threatening the NRA with opposition.

If open carry is legal, and people open carry, it makes *zero* difference. Appearance only, no substance.

Lots of things are legal. The right has just as much, if not more trouble with things that are legal as anybody else. I never shut up about guns...they never shut up about abortion.

It's the intimidation factor. Why do they want to go around intimidating other people?

Do we really want our country looking like Sudan or other such countries where groups of men run around brandishing automatic weapons?

All they're doing is hurting their cause. (and making themselves look like a bunch of pussy scaredycats...)

"Oh my!!! I'm so skeered of everything. I can't go out to the supermarket...I need to carry an assault rifle with me... ...I'm so skeered!"

What I don't understand about open carry for "protection" is, if someone is going to start some trouble what stops them from upholstering your "protection" and shooting you with it?

Universal and/or open carry is singularly dumb at face value.

Do we desire every nation on Earth to have nukes and store them on high alert? Why not? Inherently dangerous...

But individual citizens within our borders with weaponry at hand is okay?

BOGUS.
