Having never been in the military so the constant threat of life and limb under hostile fire never was mine. So will let those who served be the ones to decide this issue once all the facts are exposed.
But as a child who came of age during the Vietnam war with a lottery number of three at eighteen. Who never got the letter, glad of it. Felt I'd go even though protested detested the war. More because of my parents being both Navy Vets then out of patriotism, because I was not proud of the US at the time. Will never know for sure now.
