At this point you're just justifying his victim narrative.

By quoting him, we are validating his very existence on this forum.

They don't care Dan. They want everyone to be equally miserable. The real irony is that the standard of living of Americans has been consistently raised by entrepreneurship and capitalism. They miss the innovation, and like the purported discrepancy between wages of men and women, refuse to consider all inputs to the equation.

If $15.00/hr is viable, then a business with $15.00/hr employees could be started and be more efficient, thus, driving the buisnesses with lower paid workers out of the market. That will not happen precisely because today's minimum wage workers get paid exactly what they're worth. One can bitch all thay want about markets and how unfair they are, not emotional; however, that does not mean market effects don't exist.

What will happen to today's minimum workers once it's mandated they be paid more than they're worth?

Perhaps, if California didn't drive buisinesses away to Texas, had a more effective school system, and didn't import so many educated foreigners and non-educated foreigners there would be more jobs. California is fast becoming a "service' state with the Post Modernist liberals along the coast and their service laborers in the interior. For all the bluster, liberal policies have had the exact opposite of what they were purportedly trying to achieve.

That question has no relevance because I'd assume everyone here does not compete in the entry labor market. Why ought government preclude people from making their own decisions? Oh, and I'm not buying the asymmetric information argument. I worked for $1.65/hr—so what. I sure the hell didn't stay there and it did provide experience.

Worth in this context means what they're paid. It has no meaning beyond that and is not derogatory in such discussions. BTW, I think you know that.

He was probably still pissed after seeing all those bussed in SEIU folks at the McD's headquarters.

Not just California.... Our whole nation has primarily service industry jobs. This is true in both red and blue states.

You are so right. Well my use of the term "loser" was an ironic reflection on Dan's use of "loser".

I ask myself what Dan expects to achieve by posting such rude things.
