The amp150 biamp mono circuit wasn't designed use the 12AX7, it uses the 12AT7 for frequencies below 1100hz and 6AV6 above as preamp drivers.
AFAIK the 12AT7 isn't a drop in replacement for the 12AX7 but that may depend on the circuit.
Maybe Steve will chime in here?

Dude, I HAD some primo Tung-Sol 12AT7s, a quad of them, that I sold on Bartertown, dirt cheap, last summer.
Where were you?
