An open letter to the people who hate Obama more than they love America
Nothing I enjoy more than a good anti-right winger rant and this is a good one. So since we are posting threads about hate I figured I'd do one too. Now you might argue that by posting this I am showing my own hate for right wingers. And you know what? You would be right. So I sign on to everything in this letter except for the last paragraph where the author says "I don't hate you". On that point he and I disagree. I absolutely hate these fuckers.

I meet you all the time. You hate Obama. You hate gay people. You hate black people, immigrants, Muslims, labor unions, women who want the right to make choices concerning their bodies, you hate em all. You hate being called racist. You hate being called a bigot. Maybe if you talked about creating jobs more than you talk about why you hate gay people we wouldn't call you bigots. Maybe if you talked about black people without automatically assuming they are on food stamps while demanding their birth certificates we wouldn't call you racist. You hate so************************m and social justice. You hate regulations and taxes and spending and the Government. You hate.

Much to agree with Tom and I do agree as I don't hate these people more likely they have my pity. Hatred is corrosive and eats away its container. Or as Carrie Fisher put it "Hating someone os like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die."

Carrie Fisher!
You gotta be shittin me!
Have you gotten a load of what she looks like these days?
She has really gone downhill since her Princess Lea days.
On the other hand I've aged quite well, more along the lines of the way Harrison Ford has, and I'm 9 years older than her.
I just bench pressed 205 and dead lifted 285 at a Senior meet a couple of weeks back.
I'm sticking with what got me here.

I'm glad to see that at least one person here has the ability to drill down to the really important stuff!

He was just showing off his capacity for hate.

I shocked myself on Saturday by pumping out a 22 mile bicycle ride. That's the most I've done since 2002, when I was still regularly riding metric centuries (100km/62 miles) three/four times a year and training 40 miles every other day.
I turn 50 this Thursday.
The difference then is that, then, I weighed 160 lbs.

I used to bike a lot back in the day. I had a couple of 6,000 mile years during my peak. I can still do 20 on occasion if I keep it slow, but mostly I walk these days. I've passed the torch to my daughter. She did her first metric century a few weeks back.

Nothing wrong with a little good clean hate to start the day off right.

Happy early birthday. I remember when my father turned 50 I bought him a card.
On the cover; "Happy Birthday. Don't feel bad, 50 isn't old"
Inside the cover; "...if you're a tree!"
Now I will be 50 in a couple years and I am not sure how amusing that card actually was.
